Throughout April, a group of 28 dancers were busy rehearsing several times a week to prepare for ‘One Night Only’.

A last minute opportunity to perform on stage at the fabulous Bradford Alhambra Theatre was too good to be missed - within just a few weeks our dancers were prepared, costumed and ready to go! Our two dance numbers - Gypsy & Pirates - were a huge hit with the audience, and all of our cast members enjoyed the experience.

The dancers were a huge credit to Ribble Valley Dance and we hope to be invited back again soon, with the possibility of a performance on a London stage in the pipeline!

For more information on our broad range of classes visit our Dance and Fitness pages.

Ribble Valley Dance is based in the centre of Clitheroe, offering training in theatre dance in a professional and friendly environment.

Principal Lindsay Pollard is a Fellow and Examiner with the IDTA, with a PGCE qualification and over 15 years teaching experience. She leads a team of dedicated and well qualified staff, who are all experienced and passionate dancers.

We offer lessons from beginner through to pre-professional level in Ballet, Tap, Modern Jazz, Theatrecraft and Musical Theatre, training with the IDTA syllabus, which offers fun and enjoyment alongside solid technical training. We also offer a number of fitness classes that compliment dance - Booty Barre, Zumba, Yoga and Pilates.

As a dance school, we aim to make sure every student enjoys learning to dance. Our dedicated, talented and friendly team of teachers look forward to sharing their love of dance with you!

What is so special about dancing? Well, those of you who have ever done it will know:

• It can enrich your life beyond your wildest dreams!

• It is an excellent way to improve your strength, coordination, stamina and flexibility.

• It is cardiovascular exercise: dance regularly and it will help keep your heart fit and keep you trim.

• Dance is an expression of your personality and a way of exploring who you are.

• It is an excellent introduction into many other creative activities, such as drama and music.

• You will meet new people and make new friends.

• You will work closely with your teacher and other students; this will help develop communication and leadership skills.

• It is a social skill that stays with you for life.

• Most important of all, it is great fun!
