Ballet & Tap
From the word go, some 10 years ago, our family felt always welcome at Ribble Valley Dance. My daughter started ballet lessons when she was 4 & very soon made lots of friends. She loves dancing & joined other classes too. All the staff have always been very helpful. Miss Lindsay has always got a smile & is very accommodating & understanding. We did not hesitate at all & enrolled our son for classes as soon as he was old enough to start. He, too, is lovely his ballet & tap lessons, & has a soft spot for Miss Jean.
We are particularly luck to have Ribble Valley Dance in Clitheroe. It provides a fun & progressive environment for the very young as well as mature dancers to enjoy learning different dance genres in purpose build studios. When I joined as a mature novice, I benefitted from the genuine warmth & encouraging support from the teaching team in acquiring a range of new skills. They were always helpful & friendly, making attendance something to look forward to. In fact often the highlight of my week! Whilst initially nervous about appearing on stage, it proved to be great fun & a wonderful learning experience. I would encourage anyone to join Ribble Valley Dance for exercise, light hearted pleasure or a desire to learn something new in the world of traditional & contemporary dance.

My daughters have been attending Ribble Valley Dance since they were at Pre-School. IN this time they have turned from galloping toddlers into elegant dances in Ballet, Modern, Tap & Theatrecraft. But Ribble Valley Dance isn't just about learning to dance: they have also gained a huge group of friends, developed their confidence, had opportunities to perform on stage, learnt how to work in a team, & shown an incredible level of commitment week-in and week-out. The staff are all amazing & hugely supportive. In face, my daughters' enthusiasm for dancing inspired me, in my late 40's, to take up Tap & then Modern having never danced before. The Adult Beginner's dance lessons are wonderful too! I can fully understand why my daughters love dance so much, now that I have experienced Ribble Valley Dance first hand.
My two daughters have been attending Ribble Valley Dance since they were 5. They take Ballet, Contemporary Modern Jazz & Musical Theatre classes. The teachers are very professional & ensure the students enjoy their classes. They complete exams, which help dancers to grow in confidence. I particularly enjoy the fantastic performances which really showcase the talent of the students. Seeing my girls enjoying their Ballet ignited my own love from when I was a little child, so I have recently started Adult Ballet, which I am really enjoying.
